The 23rd 30 Hour Famine Hero Rally will be held in Kaohsiung in February 2012. All the "famine heroes" from across Taiwan will rally to fight hunger, save lives, and bring hope to the poor.
- Time: Saturday, February 11, 12 pm to Sunday, February 12, 6 pm (Total event duration: 30 hours)
- Place: National Stadium in Kaohsiung (No.100, Shiyun Blvd., Zuoying Dist., Kaohsiung City)
- Target: 30,000 participants
- Participation Notices:
Fasting for 30 hours: Participants cannot eat solid sustenance throughout the event
Clothes: Participants are to be dressed in a famine t-shirt (provided for free)
Lodging: Participants will spend the night at the venue and should bring a sleeping bag.
Transport to the venue: Participants can take a shuttle bus arranged by World Vision (please pay in advance for your transport fare), or arrange your own mode of transport to National Stadium.

1. If you meet any of the following criteria, you can attend the Hero Rally free of charge by presenting your famine certificate (transportation fee is not waived):
- You had completed a DIY famine for the 22nd 30 Hour Famine, but did not attend the Hero Rally in 2011.
- You have done a 12- or 30-hour DIY famine in a group or at home for the 23rd 30 Hour Famine.
- You have signed up and paid for a DIY famine for the 23rd 30 Hour Famine, but your famine event is scheduled after the Hero Rally is held.
2. Those who do not participate in a DIY famine must sign up for the Hero Rally and pay NT$1,000 (adults) or NT$500 (students) one month ahead, and enter the venue by presenting a payment receipt.
